Ocean Heart was created at KIS using our own glazes. It is going to be auctioned on March 31st for charity.The design is based around the veins and aorta that feed a heart and move us forward through our lives. The blue dripping effect is the oceans life blood - not draining away, just flowing, as blood should. Being blue blood (oxygenated?) makes it more aquatic and more pleasing than red blood. The flow affect is liquid delight. Is it dripping down or flowing up? Is the cup half full or half empty?
The sculpture is decorative. To add anything in would be too busy.
